Creating smart from near and far

40 cm and infinity

The Leica Summilux-M 35 f/1.4 ASPH. lens is not only compact and lightweight, but the shortest focusing distance is shortened from 70 cm to 40 cm, and the close-up performance is greatly improved. Up to 40cm shooting distance, it still maintains high performance or setting accuracy. Compared with the previous model, the double cam linkage assembly specially developed and designed by Leica has nearly doubled the rotation angle of the focus ring to 176°. The large angle of rotation enables smooth and precise focusing over the entire focusing range. When shooting at distances of 70cm and above, the lens is focused via a rangefinder system, as is the case with all digital and film M cameras.
