Kim Casebeer Kim Casebeer American Female Artist - ArtYouhua - Kim Casebeer grew up on a family farm in Kansas, USA. As part of a fourth-generation farm family, the land grew up with her for a long time. Kim still lives in Kansas and draws inspiration from the simplicity of the expansive pastures of the Flint Hills. "It's a simple landscape. You have to take some time and let it speak to you," she says. Today, Kim paints across the United States. "I think the simplicity of the Kansas landscape helped me find the essence of other places. I was able to focus on the important parts of the composition." In 1992, Kim received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kansas State University. She worked as a graphic designer and art director, and painted evenings and weekends before becoming a full-time painter in 2002. Kim went on to study with artists such as Albert Handell, W. Scott Jennings, Michael Albrechtsen and Scott Christensen. Kim's work has been published in American Art Collectors (2009 and 2011), Western Art Collectors (2010), Southwest Art (2015), Western Art (2011 and 2018) ), PleinAir Magazine (2013 and 2018) and The Fine Art Connoisseur (2014).
