Janine Baldwin | Finding her own pastel world in mixed media

British artist Janine Baldwin was born in 1979 in Leeds, England. Janine lives in Scarborough, on the North Yorkshire coast, and her work is inspired by land and sea, mainly engravings and works on paper, and occasionally oil. She has exhibited widely across the UK, including at the Royal Academy of Arts, the Pastel Society and the London Society of Women Artists. Janine's work is held in private collections worldwide and has received several prestigious awards such as the Art Club Charitable Trust Award, the Haworth Award and the Unison Color Award. In 2017 Janine was elected a member of the Pastel Society of London. She is passionate about conservation issues and has been a conservation volunteer in North York Moors National Park since 2006, working on projects such as tree planting and butterfly habitat management.
