Daniel F.Gerhartz (Daniel F.Gerhartz, 1965-), American painter. Born in Kivascombe, Wisconsin in 1965, where he now lives with his wife Jennifer and their young children, Gerhardts' interest in art manifested in his teens. When Daniel was a teenager, a few friends made a bet that they would be locked in the house and only allowed to draw dull drawings all afternoon. From this he found his life's work. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, USA. Strong interest in museums and modern masters such as John Singer Sargent, Alphonse Mucha, Nicolas Fechin, Joaquin Sorolla, Karl von Marr and other French and American Impressionist masters , inspired him. Gerhardz has a particular interest and appreciation for the lavish oil paintings of modern Russian painters Nicolai Fechin, Isaac Levitan and Ilya Repin.
